WWE return is all about getting pumped up. We, the wrestling fans know what’s the worth of ‘return’ in the WWE. It’s priceless! This article is about some of the biggest and awaited returns of the current decade of WWE superstars we never thought would return after so many years of absence.

wwe returns, wwe superstars return, wwe wrestlers return

The first year of the current decade saw the
return of the “best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be”, Bret Hart on 4th January 2010 episode of Monday Night Raw where he was invited by the chairman himself, Mr. McMahon. It was an auspicious night for the WWE Universe as they witnessed the triumphant return of a man who returned after 12 long years on Raw. The crowd showed respect to ‘the hitman’by chanting “welcome back” loud.

Without a shadow of a doubt, this was the biggest pop in the WWE back in 2011 when The Rock was revealed as the host of Wrestle Mania 27 and appeared on the 14th February, 2011 episode of Monday Night Raw after an absence of over 7 years, since he left in 2004.The crowd was definitely in seventh heaven on that night when they heard “the Brahma bull” say his catchphrases out loud right in front of their sights after almost a decade.

The night right after Wrestle Mania 28, on 2nd April, 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw, the return of 'the next big thing'; 'the beast' Brock Lesnar after 8 long years shocked the crowd to its core as they were in a transport of delight. Intially it seemed that Lesnar returned as a face but later his heel character got revealed when he gave an emphatic F5 to John Cena in the middle of the ring.

At Payback 2013, it was announced by the WWE that Rob Van Dam would make his auspicious wwe return after 4 and a half years at Money in the bank 2013 pay per view as he was declared as one of the participants in the WWE championship MITB ladder match up. At Money in the Bank 2013, the fans greeted him with cheers and loud good old “RVD” chants. The next night on Monday Night Raw, he battled Y2J Chris Jericho and stood victorious.

On 24th February, 2014  episode of Monday Night Raw, the hulkster made his wwe return after about 6 years of absence from the WWE. He apparently came to promote the wwe network which was launched that day and also disclosed the fact that he would be the official guest host for WrestleMania 30.The crowd, especially “the hulkamaniacs” were truly rejoiced and elated as they certainly felt nostalgic looking at the man who served in the wrestling industry for decades.

This was a true surprise wwe return made by the
Dudleys on 24th August, 2015 episode of Monday
Night Raw when the pyro started to hit after The New Day defeated the Lucha Dragons. It was certainly reliving the Attitude Era in the PG era.The ebullient fans in the crowd stood on their feet to witness the craziness of the Dudleys which they were missing since 2005. It got even more exuberant when Bubba Ray said his catchphrase “ Devon,,, get the tables!!!” it was a golden moment in the WWE.

It was on 17th October, 2016 episode of Monday Night Raw where Bill Goldberg made his astonishing wwe return after 12 years to reply to Brock Lesnar’s challenge of facing him one more time. He hinted the fans that he might have a last jackhammer left in him and referred Lesnar as his next and last prey which meant his agreement to the challenge that made the capacity crowd super excited as they started cheering louder.

This is a never ever forgettable moment in recent WWE history when Kurt Angle finally made his wwe return to Monday Night Raw as the new general manager on 3rd April , 2017.  It was perhaps the loudest pop anybody received in the entire 2017 in the WWE. The best part of his return would definitely be the resurrection of “YOU SUCK!” chants. It was also very nostalgic of a moment when the Olympic gold medallist uttered those good old words “ Oh it’s true, it’s damn true!”.

The night after Wrestle Mania 34, on 9th April, 2018 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE had a surprise for the WWE universe and that was bringing Bobby Lashley back. His wwe return did manage to fetch a loud pop as they greeted him with “ welcome back” chants. After 10 years of absence, he still didn’t lose his in-ring dominance as he attacked Elias and delivered a big suplex to prove how powerhouse of a man he is!

So, this is the end of this article constituting some of the biggest returns we wwe fans were so privileged to witness! I hope you like this article and I'll be back with some more next time, till then have a good time!
