Alright, before the biography section comes up, I really want to clear the air for some certain MMA fans out there that ask "Is Cris Cyborg a man?"

NO! SHE IS NOT, period!

I just can't understand that people are still making this baseless assumption about Cyborg that she could be a man because she's "too fit" to be a female!

I honestly don't see anything wrong with Cris Cyborg or her physique (video). Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own ways. She's an MMA fighter and has chosen to stay fit and ripped, which isn't wrong by any angle.

Now I'm not trying to lay a smokescreen on the fact that Cyborg has failed some drug tests in the past. But people should also know that on the contrary, she did pass numerous other tests before entering into Invicta FC in 2013. She's also clean for many consecutive years now.

And besides, you don't always need performance-enhancing substances to get a ripped body. There's also something called genetics!

I can't assemble enough words to condemn such strong superficial judgement of certain people, who might ironically agree that judging people on the basis of their looks isn't fine.

That's similar to those instances where they say that a man without a beard isn't a "real man" or where people are judged for their shortcomings. We all know that it doesn't feel right at all and needs to stop!

    STRIKEFORCE (2009 - 2013)

Cris entered into a contract with strikeforce in 2009 after picking up the win over Shayna Baszler at EliteXC in July '08.

She fought Hitomi Akano in her debut fight and successfully won it via TKO. Cyborg became the inaugural Strikeforce women's Featherweight Championship in her second fight!

She successfully defended her gold twice throughout her time in the promotion before being stripped of the title due to the failed drug test (2012). Furthermore, Cyborg was the 2010 female fighter of the year.

    INVICTA FC (2013 - 2015)

In February 2013, it was informed that Cyborg has left Strikeforce for heading into Invicta Fighting Championships. Her debut into the company took place on April 5th, 2013 where she beat Fiona Muxlow by TKO.

Like always, she came out victorious in her debut UFC fight against Leslie Smith which was pretty swift (1st round TKO).

In December of 2016, The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) suspended her for being found positive for a banned drug.

However, Cris's suspension was lifted after she successfully defended herself by stating that it was used for her recovery from weight cuts

Thereafter, she won the vacated Women's Featherweight Championship at UFC 214 only to lose it to "Lioness" Amanda Nunes, who gave Cyborg the second loss of her career in 2018.
